About Wendy Traskos

Wendy has been pole dancing for 16 years.  Her style
is marked by her extreme athleticism, sensuality and
her passion for dance as a form of self expression.
What drew her to pole dancing was her awe of pole
dancer's artistic yet powerful presence. Completely
self-taught, she was hooked at first spin; discovering it
was a great form of expression in addition to being a
great resistance training workout.  Wendy believed that
by combining her extensive background as a personal
trainer, her years as a fitness and gymnastics
competitor plus her years of pole dancing; that she
could create an environment for other women to
experience pole dancing as a workout and an art form.
Since 2005 she has opened three locations of NY
Pole Dancing where she created a systematic,
progressive approach to teaching that reflects her
understanding of the need to create a foundation of
strength, technique, proper bio-mechanics and
muscle memory before advancing to more
complicated skills.  Her success as a studio owner
has created such a buzz in the industry that she was
brought in as the pole dance expert for Germany's
version of America's Next Top Model hosted by Heidi
Klum.  She was also recruited by Tony Award winning
Jerry Mitchell as a pole dancing consultant for Peep
Show, currently running in Las Vegas.  And, she's
been a guest on the Montell William's radio show as a
pole dance expert.

FITNESS EXPERT/TRAINER/COMPETITOR
Wendy is an AFAA and IFPA certified personal trainer
with 15 years of experience. She is a natural teacher
and motivator for private clients around the NYC and
celebrities such as Montell Williams, Mary J. Blige and
Mya. She has won first and second place titles as a
fitness competitor in the ESPN Fitness America
Series, ESPN Nationals and the NPC Eastern
Championship. Wendy has been a guest on the
Montell William's radio show and quoted in
Cosmopolitan Magazine as a fitness expert plus
appeared in editorial spreads for the magazine.
Additionally, she's been a fitness model for Gorilla
Wear, Hot Skins and Everlast.

About Pantera

I started pole dancing as an exotic dancer in 1999.
Since day one I took to the pole like a monkey, figuring
out what we now call “transitions” and “tricks” on my
own. My very first year as a stripper, I went to the
National P’Olympics competition and failed miserably.
I did however get to meet and pole play with 30 of the
best pole dancers in the country. It was the most
amazing pole experience I have had in the last decade
and I still look fondly on those women for their insight
and contribution to making me who I am today. The
following year I took 3rd and finally my third year I won
the National Pole Antics competition in Las Vegas, NV.
Continuing my dancing career I won titles across the
country, performed feature acts while being a
commercial diver and made the first advanced
instructional pole dancing DVD, Pole Tricks 101. Most
recently, I’ve become the first international performer
and instructor visiting places such as England, Costa
Rica, Japan, New Mexico, Utah, Texas, California, and
Arizona and won the 1st ever Best Pole Tricks Award
at the Miss Pole Dance World Sport and Fitness
competition in Jamaica.
